Karissa Mironas

Karissa Mironas (née Wheeler) is a magna cum laude graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South, where she earned dual BAs in Theatre (with honors) and English, along with a minor in Dance. After college, she moved to New York City to continue her acting training in Manhattan.

Her children’s books, Reveal of the Royal Puppy and Refining of the Royal Puppy—inspired by her beloved morkie, Chai Rose—are available wherever books are sold. Karissa is also the host of HANG ON, SIS!, a faith-based podcast on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, where she shares stories of redemption to encourage and uplift others.

A former titleholder in the Miss America Organization, Karissa remains a passionate advocate for arts education. She teaches acting, dance, and voice to students of all ages, helping others find their voice and confidence through the arts.

Professionally represented by BoldLine Entertainment, Karissa works both theatrically and commercially.

She now lives in Tennessee with her amazing husband, Chip.
